| ARGYAVARAM MEDSICAL CENTER FORMERLY KNOWN AS UNION MISSION TUBERCULOSIS SANATORIUM WAS STARTED IN THE YEAR 1912 AND IS A PIONEERING INSTITUITION IN THE TREATMENT OF TB INTHIS COUNTRY.TRIAL STUDIES FOR STEPTOMYCIN ,INH,REFAMPICIN ETC WERE CONDUCTED HERE.AT PRESENT WE HAVE 120 FREE BEDS FOR THE TREATMENT POOR TB PATIENTS.WE ALSO TREAT COINFECTED WITH HIV.AND MDR CASES.HISTORICALLY THIS PLACE IS SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT OF TB BECAUSE OF THE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS. WE ARE COMMITTED FOR THE TB CONTROL IN THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. |

TB Care Delivery: PROVIDING DOTS TO ALL OUR PATIENTS Drug-Resistant TB: TREAT MDR CASES WITH SECOND LINE DRUGS.SOME OF OUR PATIENTS CAN NOT AFFORD THE EXPENSIVE DRUGS. TB-HIV: TREATING CO INFECTED PATIENTS .WE HAVE 20 BEDS FOR THESE PATIENTS.IT IS CHALLENGING TO CARE AND SUPPORT THESE PATIENTS.
