Japan-Nepal Health and Tuberculosis Research Association (JANTRA) is the leading NGO in the field of Tuberculosis Control Programme. JANTRA is involved in Urban Tuberculosis Control activity through designing effective models and mobilizing urban TB volunteers in Kathmandu Valley. JANTRA works in close coordination and collaboration with National TB Programme and District Public Health Offices (DPHO), Kathmandu Metropolitan city/Public Health Division, Urban health clinics and urban TB volunteers for the control and prevention of TB including Drug Resistance TB in urban settings and hard to reach areas. |

As one of the Sub-Receipient of GFATM-NSA grant, JANTRA involved in Urban TB control, PPM/ISTC,ACSM, Infection Control and TB/HIV Service Delivery Area (SDA)to strengthen Urban TB control programme by engaging all health care providers both from public and private sectors including active community participation by invloving Urban TB volunteers and local governance. Moreover, eveidence base activity has been conducted to improve TB/HIV collaboration, ACSM and infection control majors in health care settings.
The ultimate goal of these activities are to improve access for TB patients and provide quality services from local service delivery centres. |
