Blossom Trust's largest project, CEPT II (Campaign for Education, Prevention, and Treatment of TB Phase Two) aims to eradicate TB and raise awareness of the pressing issues TB patients face, especially those in India. This programme works at encompassing people who may not necessarily have the means to get tested or treated for TB. We raise awareness on the symptoms as well as destigmatisation before providing clinics where community members can be tested and, if found positive, be supported through community organisers with treatment and moral support.
CEPT II has two key targets: 1) Educate 18,360 people through the intensive health awareness program. 2) Improve access to TB diagnosis and treatment at government health facilities for 28,620 women, children and PLHA (People Living with HIV/AIDS). |

Contribution |
Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: We raise awareness on the symptoms as well as destigmatisation before providing clinics where community members can be tested and, if found positive, be supported through community organisers with treatment and moral support. We find using cell phones as our main means of communication between patients and really useful as it eliminates barriers such as lack of literacy or internet access.
Drug-Resistant TB: The Blossom Trust team also had the innovative idea of printing TB messages and information on pharmacist bags to promote TB knowledge and to raise awareness about TB amongst the general population. Blossom printed and distributed 10000 bags to pharmacis throuht the district. |
