Organization Description: |
Bridge is a not for profit organization registered as a trust, under Trust Act 1860 with Government of Pakistan. The main objective of the organization is to promote research, training, innovative public health interventions and advocacy for better health, education and social development of impoverished communities in the country. Our strategy is to Bridge the gap between civil societies, governmental organizations, academic institutions and donors, through research and training.
Our human resources encompasses a cadre of professionals ranging from researchers, teachers, educationists and clinicians, social scientists and health care workers who hold terminals degrees in their fields such as PhDs from institutes of highest repute in the world. The key individuals strengthen the organization’s capacity bringing with them ample experience of academic excellence, field work, data management and social and clinical practice.
Our focus of activities is prevention and control of infectious diseases. Bridge closely works with Government and Non Government Organizations including, Infection Control Society Pakistan (ICSP) and Infectious Diseases Society of Pakistan (IDSP) for prevention and control of infectious diseases in the country. Bridge has successfully completed several important projects in collaboration with above organizations including development of Infection Control Manual, Epidemiological research studies to monitor trends and patterns of Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, STIs and HIV/AIDS.
Bridge has developed strong linkages with nationals and internationals organizations such as Ministries of Health, Population and Education. Academic institutions include Baqai Medical University, Aga Khan University and Dow University of Health Sciences.
