Organization Description:
SHIMANTIK was established in 1979 as a national NGO with a primary focus on health, women development, environment and education. It has a strong service delivery network throughout Bangladesh.The organization has developed partnership with national and international organizations and has a large network of TB services in Sylhet and Dhaka regions of Bangladesh. In our country, limited TB service provider NGO works for TB. So, the organization has decided to provide TB services in different areas. At Dhaka City Corporation, the service providers provide services to TB patients, provide diagnosis, provide medicine through DOTS services. At six sub district of Sylhet district, awareness program on TB is functioning.

The program is functioning in consulattion with national TB control program. The representative from NTP monitor the activity regularly and provide feedback if necessary. It provide services to the TB pitent which is part of the contribution to the country.

TB Care Delivery:
Shimantik is providing DOS service in the Dhaka city corporation through 4 static clinic. It has also provided diagnosis services. It has advocacy,communication and social mobilization program in rural six sub district in Sylhet district.
