HEPS -Uganda is health rights promoting civil society organisation that focuses on increasing awareness on health rights and responsibilities with a special focus on access to essential medicines for the poor and vulnerable in Uganda.This is done through research, community empowerment and advocacy at district and national levels. HEPS-Uganda is interested in TB because its one of the leading causes of death among Ugandans,there is lack of awareness about the disease and there is need for treatment adherence to avoid MDR- TB.HEPS is a member of the Uganda Stop TB Partnership and is working on increasing community awareness on TB,advocating for increased access to TB treatment and putting TB on the agenda of policy makers. |

HEPS-Uganda monitors availability of essential medicines ( including TB drugs) in public health facilities and shares reports with NTLP as well social mobilisation of communities to increasingly identify TB suspects and refer them for tests and treatment. |
