| O Laboratório de Epidemiologia- LabEpi, foi criado em 2006 junto ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Doenças Infecciosas da UFES. E tem como bjetivos: realizar pesquisas epidemiológicas na área de doenças infecciosas; oferecer consultoria tanto em métodos de pesquisa, orientando pesquisadores em ciências da saúde em relação ao delineamento de seus projetos de pesquisa, desde a criação de um banco de dados até a análise estatística dos resultados; e divulgar novas metodologias aplicadas às pesquisas em ciências da saúde. Isto inclui também a divulgação de métodos que já existem, mas que os investigadores tem pouca familiaridade. Atualmente o LabEpi desenvolve vários estudos próprios e auxilia projetos com origem em diversas instituições de saúde e meio ambiente do Estado do Espírito Santo. Além disso, atua no desenvolvimento de pesquisas multicêntricos,celebra parcerias com instituições internacionais para o intercâmbio visando a capacitação de seus pesquisadores; aproxima-se dos serviços de saúde através das parcerias com as instituições públicas para a capacitação dos profissionais de saúde que atuam no controle da tuberculose e outras Doenças Infecciosas. |

| Declaration of interests: I declare that I coordinate the Lab-Epi that integrate many researchers and students. We developed researchs in TB control. For this, I am interested in participating of the STOP TB working groups. Because I would like to receive more informations about this theme. Besides, I would like to do others partership to exchange informations and experience. | |
