Russ Foundation is a charity, registered as a non-profit organization in India. Since its inception in the year 1992,it has developed into a dynamic organisation with a history of bringing vital changes in the community it serves. Russ Foundation concentrates its developmental efforts at grass-root level in sectors like Health, Education, Socio-economic development, Life-skill Vocational Training and Ecology.
Russ Foundation is focused to create sustainable & culturally relevant solutions by enabling communities to break longstanding obstacles for their development. The primary object of Russ Foundation is to improve the quality of life of the children, women and the community at large, with special focus give to HIV/AIDS & TB amongst the Female Commercial Sex Wrokers, MSM (Homosexuals) and People living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs), Childre infected and affected with HIV- (CIA & CAA). |

Russ Foundation works in collaboration with the RNTCP in the region (Madurai) and also have tied up REACH an organisation carrying out TB programme in the District. Russ Foundation had signed and MoU with REACH to implement the TB programme. In addition we referall the PLHIVs in our fold for regular check up, follow up and Referrals. Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: Russ Foundation works with the general population and also amongst the school and college students conducting regular training and campaigns to create awareness on Tuberculosis and also conducts regular meetings for the general population and identify for screening and referrals and follow up treatment and care. Provide DOTS regularly and also carry our SPUTUM collection and testing with the district level centers.
Drug-Resistant TB: Treatment adherence and follow up care for MDRTB patients
TB-HIV: Russ Foundation works directly on HIV Prevention programs amongst the people with high risk behaviors like the FEMALE SEX WORKERS, MEN HAVING SEX WITH MEN (MSM), GAY COMMUNITY OR HOMOSEXUALS, TRANSGENDERS, INJECTING DRUG USERS, PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV (PLHV), CHILDREN INFECTED AND AFFECTED WITH HIV (CIA & CAA). HIV screening is one of the main strategies of the program and all HIV screening is done with a screening for TB tests in addition to the screening, testing and treatment for TB as a Co-infection |
