| KVHS is an association of 147 charitable hospitals and other health delivery institutions in the state. It is federated to the Voluntary health Association of India, New Delhi. This organization is basically stands for promoting health a reality to the people in the state. Since its inception in 1971, it has been striving towards the goal of providing health for the people of Kerala. It is to the credit of Kerala VHS, that it has been able to maintain constant touch with the grass root level health and social development organizations in the state. In 1988, the Ministry of Health and Family welfare appointed KVHS as the Mother NGO to implement various projects. The following are the important projects of KVHS. ?; Reproductive and Child Health ?; Partnership in Sexual Health ?; Rural water and Sanitation ?; Resettlement and Rehabilitation project ?; Post Tsunami Rehabilitation project ?; School based Health Promotion project ?; Cancer Control programme ?; Community based anti-tobacco campaign ?; Publication of health care newsletters ?; Advocacy and networking |
