Organization Description: |
GSSHealth is a small social enterprise (the majority of our work is performed without profit) dedicated to improving the quality of disease surveillance and diagnosis, worldwide.
We work with academic institutes, multilateral, governmental and non-governmental organizations and businesses across Europe, North America, Africa and SE Asia.
We specialize in the design, management and implementation of scientific and technical projects dedicated to improving laboratory services.
Although we focus on all aspects of laboratory capacity-building, GSSHealth staff are field experts in helping to improve smear microscopy, developing safer practices for TB drug marker testing in BSL2 facilities and establishing BLS3 laboratories for TB liquid culture and DST.
GSSHealth staff and consultant field experience covers 14 countries across Europe, Africa and SE Asia. Currently, there are active projects in 6 countries.
Each year, GSSHealth donates 1-2% of all profits to Baltimore City charities focused upon child education.
Our products and services include: business development; strategic and financial planning; establishment of quality assurance (QA) systems; training in QA, safety and testing; supply chain management assistance (including advice on appropriate technologies, reagents, supplies, procurement process development and contractual requirements).
