Our Laboratory is a training center for Asia region for MODS, NRA, CRI and other non-commercial tests funded by WHO/STOP-TB and also an Intermediary Reference Laboratory (IRL) of India Tb programme.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
We are partner in the India Government's TB control programme.

Drug-Resistant TB:
We conduct research ( clinical, epidemiological, diagnostic) to map the emergence of MDR-TB and diagnostic methods.

TB-HIV:
Our major focus is to control or minimse the MDR/XDR TB epidemic in Persons living with HIV, using various diagnostic and advocacy tools.

Laboratory Strengthening:
We are string advocates for laboratory strenghening and feel that in TB endemic countries this should be the top priority for all TB control efforts.

New Diagnostics:
We have patented some of novel molecular and proteomic products for rapid and accurate diagnosis of TB and drug resistance prediction.

New TB Drugs:
We evaluate various compounds for their efficacy against Mycobacterial species, in-vito, ex-vivo, and in-vivo

Fundamental Research:
Our group carries fundamental research for improved diagnosis, therapy and control of TB

Research:
We help the national Tb control programs such PMTD and evaluation of new diagnostics etc.
