Organization Description:
Based in Kinshasa, Club des Amis Damien composed by ex,new TB and MDR patients is created at 1999. Its aims is to contribuate at diminution of the burden and prevalence of pandemic tuberculosis in DR Congo by TB patients implication.
Leading this joint patient-professional NGO is the working group on tuberculosis, forging new, innovative tools around the Patients' Charter for TB Care and the International Standards for Tuberculosis Care. These two tandem documents are essential elements of the new Stop TB strategy and the Global Plan 2006-2015.

Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
Club des Amis Damien is working actualy in 139 health centers in 9 provinces of DRC. Till the end of this year we will arriv at 181 health centers. Our contribution is resum into the detection and TB care. The TB suspects are oriented in the health centers and the TB patients are followed by the CAD members during home visit, zhiel transport, sanitary education etc.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
Contribute to reduce the local burden of TB in line with the 2015 MDG and Stop TB Partnership targets through early TB diagnosis, highquality treatment of all cases and prevention of TB transmission. Ensure high-quality treatment of all diagnosed cases of TB.(pulmonary, both smear-positive and -negative; extrapulmonary;adults and children).

Drug-Resistant TB:
The membres of CAD provide weekly assistance to MDR TB patient in 35 health center in Kinshasa.
