1. Non-governmental, non-profitable organization of specialists of lung diseases and TB, GPs, nurses, patients and all the subjects interested in fight against TB. 2. We see TB as a global problem and mainly treatable disease, which could be eliminated only with common (and well coordinated) efforts in all the countries. 3. We plan to continue all the activities of former Yugoslav Anti-Tuberculosis Association - YATA, predominantly population education and continual medical education, technical assistance in research in all the fields of TB and support in active case detection in risk groups. |

The majority of the members are directly involved in TB at their workplaces (clinical departments, laboratories, epidemiology departments, reserarch, teaching etc) and they are willing to contribute by spreading their activities volontarily. Some of them are members of National TB programme, some also belong to the University teaching staff; Maintaining web site with information about TB for general population and professionals, continual respons via e-mail to all the interested subjects, mainly patients and their family etc. |
