Organization Description: |
Since its establishment by the late Chong Kun Lee in 1973 as a non-profit organization, the Kochon Foundation has carried out scholarship projects in the belief that it should foster the talented people who will lead the society in the future. Among the efforts of the Foundation for the societies is to support scholars/institutions who make contribution in the field of medical research, which will lead to the enhancement of human health and welfare. Such mission being carried by the Foundation over 30 years is originated from the lofty ideals of the late Chong Kun Lee. He had devoted himself in his life to facilitate people’s access to quality human medicines including anti-tuberculosis, and to support the activities of TB eradication in Korea. |
