Contribution |
Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below: |
TB Care Delivery: APRODEB is actively contributing to the Global Plan to Stop TB through awareness-raising, communication and social mobilisation activities in the three regions of Northern Cameroon. Since 2020, we have been organising community awareness campaigns to inform people about modes of transmission, symptoms and the importance of early detection of tuberculosis, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups such as women and children. We are working with 10 Public Integrated Health Centres and 08 Private Medical Centres to strengthen patient follow-up, while promoting adherence to treatment through educational sessions and support groups. In addition, APRODEB mobilises community and religious leaders to relay prevention and anti-stigma messages, helping to create a favourable environment for the eradication of tuberculosis. These actions are part of our ongoing efforts to support the National Plan to Combat Tuberculosis in Cameroon. |
