1)BGMEA's mission and focus on TB diagnosis, treatment, increase awarness about TB to garments factory workers in Bangladesh. BGMEA has been working jointly with National TB Control Program (NTP) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh and BRAC to eliminate TB from garment sector since 2009.In pursuit, BGMEA established TB laboratories in 10 BGMEA Health Centers in December, 2010. These centers provide TB diagnosis, treatment, services and drugs at free of cost to garments factory employees. 2)we are interested in TB coz the industrial workers of our country are still very ignorent and have fear and shame about this disease as well general peopel also. 3)Already from our 10 dots centers ,all treatments realted to TB & HIV are being diagnosed and social support is provided to the patient.in the future will expand this work,we conduct awarness workshop in various industries and also conduct thought exchange and discussion program with Doctoers and health workers . |

BGMEA has been working jointly with National TB Control Program (NTP) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh and BRAC to eliminate TB from garment sector since 2009.In pursuit, BGMEA established TB laboratories in 10 BGMEA Health Centers in December, 2010. These centers provide TB diagnosis, treatment, services and drugs at free of cost to garments factory employees. Up to September, 2024 a total of 20,267 TB patients from different garment factories have been detected and cured 16,162 TB patient and rest of patient are under treatment.BGMEA arranges Orientation workshops on TB for managers/officers/supervisors in different garment factories in collaboration with factory owners to create and increase awareness on TB in garment sector. Up to December, 2024 a total number of orientation workshops is 1646 and the number of participant is 57,240 people. |
