Vision Transformed lives and wellbeing of vulnerable children, People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and the youth. Mission To support and promote the welfare and rights of vulnerable children, PLWHA, PWDs and enable the youth into socioeconomic development for better livelihoods.
FOHO Uganda started in 2008 as Foundation of Hope, a Community Based Organization (CBO) and has been elevated to an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), focusing on child protection, the health and wellbeing of people living HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and economic empowerment of vulnerable youth including children on the street and those with disabilities. In the last 12 years it has served the people of Masaka district with interventions in the areas of but not limited to HIV/AIDS, sexual and gender-based violence, child protection, economic empowerment and human rights
Health Strategic Objective One: 1. Supporting, promoting and improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children, PLWHA, PWDs, and youth. This objective will deliver four key outcomes: Outcome Area 1: Improved health and wellbeing of children, PLWHA, PWDs and youth Outcome Area 2: Reduced prevalence of HIV and TB, suppressed viral load and increase retention into care and adherence. Outcome Area 3: Improved health condition of the general population served by the Community Health Center
Outcome Area 4: Improved rights and access to sexual and reproductive health

TB is a social phenomenon with severe health implications for the whole population, however there is little understanding of the critical role played by communities in mitigating those implications. The lack of meaningful involvement of affected communities, in all aspects of TB programming, often leads to “morally acceptable targeting” in a country’s TB response.
