Organization Description:
PCZ´s mission is to empower communities in Zambia to enhance health, protect and nurture girls, end hunger and overcome hardship. PCZ current work focuses on contributing to the achievement and sustenance of HIV/TB epidemic control and addressing the upstream vulnerabilities that impede progress towards this achievement.

We are interested in TB as Zambia has a high TB burden and among the top 30 high burden countries in the world. We would like to contribute to the success in the fight against TB.

We currently participate in the national TB technical working group and the research sub-committee. We have community case workers that participate in screening at household level and linkage to health facilities for further evaluation. We have the technical capacity to contribute more with increased funding. We are looking for further funding to increase our scope in the TB care cascade from diagnosis at facility and community level to treatment of both DS-TB and DR-TB as well as leverage on our community systems to enhance community case management. We have robust networks with many stakeholders and we would use this to implement the multi sectoral accountability framework for TB.
