Organization Description: |
The American Thoracic Society, founded in 1905, is an independently incorporated international, educational, and scientific society that focuses on respiratory and critical care medicine. The Society has approximately 14,000 members, 25% of whom are from outside of the U.S. The Society's International Conference is the world's largest meeting for the exchange of medical and scientific information on Tuberculosis. Through its journals, the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, it provides opportunities for the publication of original research related to the lung, including tuberculosis. As a founding member of the Stop TB Partnership, the ATS is committed to the global control of Tuberculosis through its advocacy, education and research activities. |
