Organization Description:
1. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian organization with
a mission to work with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change. ADRA
South Africa belongs to the worldwide ADRA network, comprised of 120 supporting and
implementing country offices. ADRA’s five core sectors include Food Security; Health; Economic
Growth; Education; and Emergency Management. ADRA South Africa has developed its expertise in
these sectors and in various subsectors, specifically in Food and Nutrition Security; Water,
Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Comprehensive Health and Wellness; Emergency Response and
Resilience Building; and Education. South Africa employs a team of experienced staff that design,
manage, and implements its programs in accordance with donor, ADRA policies, and requirements.
ADRA’s technical team includes food & nutrition specialists; public health specialists; agricultural
economists, marketing & value chain supply experts, agronomists, rural development practitioners,
finance officers, civil engineers, monitoring & evaluation officers, WASH specialist, logisticians,
environmental health experts, borehole drilling experts, digital tools training and mass media
specialist. insert technical team. The administrative and managerial team includes Country Director, Programs Director and Programs Officer.

2. ADRA SA has noticed that there is a gap in TB treatment and most people default in their treatment. ADRA has capacity to close the gap.
