Organization Description:
The Geneva Institute for Human Rights (GIHR) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Geneva. Its key objective is to raise awareness and understanding about the importance of human rights.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
We are planning to coordinate global level efforts of the DOTS expansion working group. This is planned to be conducted on May 2023 in the MENA region by engaging into meetings; conference calls; advocacy efforts in the affected areas raising the awareness of the general population about TB.

Drug-Resistant TB:
We are planning to expand country capacity to scale up the management of drug-resistant TB through global advocacy and policy guidance. This is planned to be performed on August 2023 in the MENA region by engaging into lectures and advocacy efforts in the affected areas raising the awareness of the general population about TB. This work will be coordinated with national leaderships and governmental organizations.

TB-HIV:
We are planning to coordinate global-level efforts to reduce the burden of HIV-related TB. This is planned to be conducted on Sep 2023 by promoting the sharing of best practices and lessons and help defining evidence-based strategies and advocacy of collaborative TB/HIV activities in the affected areas in the MENA region raising the awareness of the general population about TB/HIV.
