Summary Objectives: i. Awareness, advocacy, research and study on communicable & non communicable diseases. ii. Special works and initiatives to support national TB Control Programme to end the TB and piloting/work for TB Free Municipalities of Nepal. iii. Partnership and coordination with field related national, regional and international organizations for fulfilment of objectives.
why you are interested in tuberculosis The National TB Prevalence Survey was conducted in 2018-2019 and according to National Tuberculosis Prevalence Survey and its findings, over 117 000 people are living with TB disease in Nepal. Likewise, 69 000 people developed TB in 2018-19. TB burden (incidence) is much higher (1.6 times) than previously estimated. TB prevalence is much higher among elderly and in men.
The big challenge for TB Programme, Nepal is large numbers of missing Cases. The NTP Nepal needs more support and collaboration for increasing case finding and management of TB patients. Therefore, my organization planning to support NTP Nepal through community level activities with close collaboration with Local Government in Ward levels
Planning to do for TB control: Planning to lunch "TB Free Nepal Youth Fellowship Programme" for the propose of local level political commitment & partnership, involve private sector, display/hanging "TB Patient's Charter in each Wards of Municipalities of project areas.
The second plan is to network and establish collaboration with bellow local Government structure of Nepal for TB Free mission: Local Governments: 753 -Metropolitan Cities:06 -Sub-metropolitan cities :11 - Municipalities:276 - Village Municipality:460 Total Wards in above local government units: 6743

This organization is newly established by a experts team of Nepal to support TB and other communicable diseases: Our organization is planning to support NTP through following activity subject to availability of Funding: i. Establishment of Public Private partnership structure in each Municipality ii. Formation of TB Free Committee in each Wards (volunteers) iii. Establish TB Free Unit in each Municipality iv. Organize health Camps for active case finding v. organize TB Free Nepal Summit vi. Research and studies
