Organization Description:
Village Development Organization (VDO) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered under The Societies Act-1860 of 2008-2009, working to empower neglected communities in the tribal zone of Sindh.
VDO has been struggling to support the marginalized communities of the Sindh province by initiating sustainable development projects on different themes i.e. Health, Women's Rights, Education, Women's Political Participation, Agriculture, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) & Livelihood Empowerment. VDO with the support of different national and international donors has transformed thousands of lives through evidence-based programs that focus on expanding especially women’s health and economic opportunities, increasing women’s rights, and advancing women’s political participation.
VDO's mission is to end hunger and poverty through sustainable livelihood initiatives and improving the quality of education, Ensuring basic health rights, protecting human rights, promoting gender equality and democratic values, and good governance.
VDO has successfully facilitated 12 medical camps in district ghotki surroundings whereas VDO provided full medical treatment free of cost for the neediest communities, In these camps, VDO did the test for TB, Hepatitis B & C, Typhoid tests, and many more. Furthermore, VDO reached the desert areas of the District Ghotki Where there is no health facility for Human's and Livestock.

VDO has implemented more than 10 community-based programs/projects where VDO provided approximately 4200 newborn babies with food and nutrition, Awareness sessions for better health, and Medical Camps for Health Checkup, Further During COVID-19 VDO distributes Sanitizers, Masks, Soaps & PPE's to BHU's and community for prevention from this pandemic situation.

TB Care Delivery:
VDO is doing work in establishing a wide knowledge base and is providing training through direct contact programs with Doctors, and regular drug supply. A standardized recording and reporting system that allows assessment of treatment results.

Laboratory Strengthening:
VDO is in regular contact with the government officials regarding the establishment of the laboratory at a Community-based / Union Council based where every poor can easily reach and get benefit from that.
