| Shifa Foundation has evolved as one of the largest National Non-profit Organisation of Pakistan with integrated humanitarian management and development model dedicated to strengthening the marginalized communities. Founded in 1991, Shifa Foundation has extended its outreach across the country with particular focus to the least developed areas. It has established a vast network of volunteers and reached to more than 12 million people in last three decades. Shifa Foundation endeavors to create an enabling environment for deprived children, women, families and underprivileged communities to realize their fundamental rights with dignity. Within this spectrum, it works in different thematic areas to assist and improve the living standards of marginalized communities. The efforts made during the past 30 years, have contributed in long lasting impact on lives of most vulnerable and marginalized communities and to supported Government in achieving its targets of Sustainable Development Goals. Shifa Foundation always emphasis institutional capacity building and mass awareness. For this purpose, provided many trainings to Health Department personnel, replicated the LHW Model in LHW Uncovered areas, implemented Health and Nutrition projects in Flood and Drought affected areas, mobilized funds for emergency response and strengthened its systems to ensure transparency and quality of work. Shifa Foundation has worked in multiple thematic areas including health, nutrition, Child Protection, water Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security and Institutional Capacity Building. For mainstreaming gender in its programs and enhancing local resources, Shifa Foundation has trained local Community Health Workers and focused on institutional capacity for contributing to sustainable development. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Shifa Foundation integrated awareness raising regard COVID-19 in its all running projects, trained Frontline Workers and provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to strengthen Department of Health and Combat |
