IEERD educates people and provide patient support in the states of Andhra Pradesh, India. We conduct awareness creation on TB and form community structures over the forest-fringe villages, rural settlements, urban slums to report and inform about any symptoms found in their respective location’s people both men and women; especially risk-groups and common people. We develop educative slogans and conduct campaigns to gather people towards quitting people of their “habits” to avoid life-risks and to take action towards TB-Free areas.

Throughout our earlier programmes of meeting, personal visits and educative programmes, IEERD identifies people with symptoms and help them to get checked and if found anyone needs refer them to hospitals especially connecting them to TB Control Team. We closely work with RNTCP, APSACS and Health Department in the State, AP. We also arrange vehicles for people from non-vehicle available locations of forest-dwelling and fringe villages’ communities for treatment and checkups etc. We also collect samples from people using designated tins and submit through and to the RNTCP Team. IEERD helps to have the three tests The three tests are sputum smear microscopy, chest X -ray, and the CB-NAAT test.
We ourselves collect sputum spear form people and submit to Govt. Hospital or to RNTCP Team.

One of Our Innovations and Slogans that will be applied in towards contributing our interventions to the Global and National Policy:
TB = “Tobacco Banned” (Most of the tribal and other working class people in the state, both men and women use various types of tobacco products; especially smoking with which the TB exacerbates to have vulnerability and infection of many related diseases too to the direct and second hand smokers including children. IEERD has such many innovative, catchy, educative, warning and communicative slogans and tags in both English and Telugu languages to educate, attract, admonish and to bring into action against TB.

India has among the largest numbers of TB cases (23%) of the global total. The National Strategic Plan for TB Elimination (2017–2025) is a statement of commitment to eliminate TB by 2025 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It proposes bold strategies with commensurate resources to rapidly decline TB incidence and mortality in India by 2025.

IEERD will work with CBOs, SHGs, WDFs, VDCs, VSs, EDCs, Farmers Clubs, trade unions and various community groups and religious institutions to educate and admonish action among them to reduce TB instances among children and adults alike.
