| 1. Name of the Voluntary Agency:-CAPTAIN GURDEEP SINGH SOCIETY. 2. Field of specialization in work and area of operation MISSION To work/act as an 'agent of change' to help the poorest of the poor access and actualise their rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India. PRIORITY AREA From very beginning, we, at CGS SOCIETY, believe that development has to be holistic, to bring real fruits to the most needy. Public Health, Education, Livelihood, Women Empowerment, Community Development and Social Welfare continue to be prime areas of our work. We wish to bring a substantial change on the ground by focusing our energies in these sectors as well as building our understanding about related issues. We, at CGS SOCIETY, firmly believe that a conducive and productive environment cannot be achieved unless all parameters of the development equation are adequately addressed. AREA OF INTEREST We create L.I.F.E.(living in family environment) homes for children,who are abandoned or orphaned and do not have natural families. Through our homes we promote families bonding, physical and material health and social integration of these children's, who were otherwise abused physically as well as mentally. WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DESERVING GIRLS, ? We support the holistic development of deserving girl students from weaker sections of the society by providing them monetary help as well as mentoring. ? To impart knowledge and practical applications. ? To impart education and awareness in self reliance women, hygiene and sanitation. ? To empower women with skill. ? To impart socially relevant education to the beneficiaries through lectures. ? To augment the effectiveness of the women's in self helpgroups to about awareness enlightens and a positive role in the society by women's. ? To provide family life education to the identified adolescent girls. ? To create awareness reproductive rights and reproductive health through health education camps programme. Drug-Resistant TB: The most important way to prevent the spread of drug-resistant TB is to take all TB drugs exactly as prescribed by the health care provider. No doses should be missed and treatment should not be stopped early. People receiving treatment for TB disease should tell their health care provider if they are having trouble taking the drugs. Health care providers can help prevent drug-resistant TB by quickly diagnosing cases, following recommended treatment guidelines, monitoring patients’ response to treatment, and making sure therapy is completed. Another way to prevent getting drug-resistant TB is to avoid exposure to known drug-resistant TB patients in closed or crowded places such as hospitals, prisons, or homeless shelters. People who work in hospitals or health-care settings where TB patients are likely to be seen should consult infection control or occupational health experts. |
