The set of presentations is aimed at national and sub-national level managers responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating infection control activities, including health system managers from programs covering TB HIV/AIDS, hospital services, control and quality assurance programs and occupational health. They are designed to provide the managers with an understanding of the importance of TB infection control in preventing TB transmission, including managerial activities at the national and facility level, administrative and environmental controls, and personal protective equipment. The facility level measures will provide the managers with an appreciation of the types of controls needed to prevent TB transmission, so that they can provide the necessary managerial, financial and policy support for implementation. It is not expected that they will necessarily utilize the skills to perform on-site facility assessments.

It is also anticipated that the materials will be adapted for different target audiences, WHO regions and countries, and modified to fit different training modalities.
