Organization Description:
1. Promoting the free circulation of scientific information and materials in Occupational Medicine provided free by voluntaries. The project is made mainly by the efforts of Occupational Health residency students.

2. We are interested in Tuberculosis for the Health Monitoring Plan of Health Care Workers (HCWs) in our Hospital and for better understand the risk of infection from patients with TB.

3. We test every day Health Care Workers (HCWs) with Mantoux Tests or IGRA Tests for the Health Monitoring Plan; every year doctors of our Department elaborate data on TB cases and possible Latent TB cases in our Hospital; frequently our Department organizes workshops or seminars on TB.

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
Updating Medicina del Lavoro is involved in the TB Health Surveillance Plan for all the Health Care Workers (HCWs) in the Hospital of Siena; UMdL Resident students and Doctors are also involved in small workshops, seminars and clinical audits about TB; UmdL, by the website or by the Journal Updating medicina del Lavoro or by other ways, is also interested and involved in the diffusion of the newest information about TB.

New Diagnostics:
We usually made Mantoux Tests or IGRA Tests at the Health Care Workers (HCWs) of our Hospital for the TB Health Surveillance Plan. The Project Updating Medicina del Lavoro is interested in updating new, efficient and, possibly, at a good price diagnostic tools for TB screening in large group of workers.
