Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
LHSI is a sub-reciepient of GFATM programm (9 Round) in Ukraine in ACSM component to address TB as well as support and develop local coordination councils on TB and HIV in Ukraine (59 Local CCMs in total). One more focus area of LHSI is the workplace safety programs promotion, including TB workplace safety. From November 2011 LHSI is implementing project under TB-Reach program Wave 2 the aim of which to bring together efforts of social services workers and TB services workers for early diagnostics among high-risk groups.

TB Care Delivery:
As a SR of GFTAM rgand to Ukraine on TB during 2011-2012 years LHSI is going to develop and implement communication strategy under country's ACSM component. Also, DOTS enhancement at the railway branch medical units was a part of a bigger comprehensive workplace project of LHSI "HIV and TB prevention at the Donetsk Railway" (2007-2010)

TB-HIV:
In 2009 LHSI implememted a project on TB-HIV co-infection case menagement introduction to Ukraine with a focus on approach implementation at the local level.

Research:
Aim at holding operational research for sustainable public-private partnerships in TB care and control targeting diagnosis of TB and MDR-TB improvement as well as capacity building of medical and social service providers to TB patients and vulnerable groups.
