TB Care Delivery: We have implemmented the DOTS program with success. Drug-Resistant TB: At the Institute MDR-TB patients are follow up for 18 months, until they conclude thier treatments and are declared cured. TB-HIV: At the Institue we have a small Center for HIV patients and TB/HIV co-infected patients receive primary care. New Diagnostics: At the Institute we are working with a ELISpot test using ESAT6 and CFP10 anteigens to identify infected patients vs TB patients. Fundamental Research: At the Institute we are currentlu working on the study of innate and adaptive immune response against M.tb. We have clinical and basic research. |
