The African Peae Initiative (API) is a NGO founded in 1997. A member of the Transition to Civil Rule program 1999. Monitored and reported the election 1999. A focal-point agency for the Women Building Peace from the Village Council to the Negotiating Table. Worked with the all-Nigerian NGO coalition for the implementation of the African Plan and Consensus of Action for the fight against the dreaded HIV/AIDS. A member of the Committee that wrote the final report on the Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation's 1st Pan-African Regional Conference on Human Trafficking. A participating Member of the National Assembly Int'l Seminar for fostering Partnership between the Executive and the Legislature in Nigeria. Featured in several partnerships such as the International Association of Volunteer Efforts (IAVE), Graceland Care Foundation Lagos Premier Children Summit etc. API has recently won the partnership collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation for the Protection of Nigeria's National Image during the 2007 elections. |

Declaration of interests
There are no conflict of interest. API will work positively with the global intiative. API is an independent non-governmental organisation whose work on peace and social justice in Africa legendary. The organisation has independently sponsored landmine ban seminar, post-conflict reconstruction and rehabilitation in Nigeria, Youth empowerment, Management of Violent Youth conflicts etc without any direct funding from anywhere.
