TB REACH Wave 7 Proposal Review Committee Application

Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative seeks candidates to review Wave 7 proposals

TB REACH announces a call for candidates to join our Proposal Review Committee (PRC). Individuals actively engaged in the fight against TB are encouraged to apply. The TB REACH PRC reviews proposals to drive TB case finding and treatment adherence innovation.

You are: A global health and/or development expert with experience in TB case finding, patient support and advocacy, private sector engagement, community responses for health, gender and health equity, and/or other relevant expertise. You are willing to dedicate time in the spring and summer of 2019 to review innovative proposals from a global set of change makers and select those that will have the most promise to contribute to ending the TB epidemic.

We are: The Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative is a multi-lateral funding mechanism which provides a platform for testing innovative strategies aimed at increasing the number of people treated for TB, decreasing the time to appropriate treatment and improving treatment success. TB REACH combines fast-track, results-based financing and rigorous, external monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to produce results, so national governments, the private sector and other donor agencies can scale-up successful approaches and maximize their own investments.

What are we up to in this Wave: In this wave we are focusing on the intersection of TB elimination and the empowerment of women and girls. Proposals tackling TB case finding, treatment adherence, and private sector engagement to improve outcomes will have to address meaningful engagement of women and/or girls and demonstrate a contribution to women’s empowerment.

What will the PRC do: PRC members will review hundreds of TB REACH Stage 1 applications remotely in the spring of 2019 and recommend a list of successful Stage 1 applicants who will be invited to submit a Stage 2 proposal. PRC members will review Stage 2 submissions during an in-person meeting in August/September 2019 to recommend a final funding list to the Executive Committee of the Stop TB Board.
