1999 Country Consultation Workshops
STOP TB is a campaign to push TB higher the international political agenda. A key first step in building the campaign are a set of country consultation workshops with the highest burden countries in the world. These workshops provide opportunities to directly engage national TB programme (NTP) managers and high level health ministry staff in STOP TB planning processes. The meetings, held at regional level, serve as an orientation to country participants to the rationale and broad strategies of the STOP TB Initiative and introduce a country-centered approach to the construction of major STOP TB activities and events.
