Stop TB People
The Stop TB Partnership has launched a programme to engage celebrities to serve as TB advocates.
The Partnership is now building a team of Stop TB Ambassadors: renowned figures from politics, the arts, music, cinema, sports and science. These high-profile individuals share a desire to contribute to the fight against TB, a disease that kills 4400 people every day.
How do Stop TB Ambassadors help? They speak out about TB through the media and at major events on TB. They donate their images for TB campaigns and seek to reach out to new audiences who can help the Partnership attain its goals for reaching people in need now with TB diagnosis and treatment; and for development of new TB drugs, diagnostics and vaccines.
